GLYCEROL FORMAL has a very low odor and toxicity profile making it ideal for use in a variety of applications as described below: PHARMACEUTICALS - as a non-aqueous solvent carrier in the manufacture of injectable solutions (e.g. IVERMECTIN, NIMESULIDE),and a aqueous injectable solutions(e.g. LONG-ACTING OXOTETRACYLINE,SULPHADIAZINE SODIUM and TRIMETHOPRIM). BINDER SOLVENT - to produce foundry core in various casting processes. ADDITIVE FOR WATER-BASED INKS - the water miscibility of Glycerol Formal makes it ideal for water-based ink formulations, as well as for the manufacture of glycerol formal acrylates. COALESCENCE IMPROVER - for water dispersion of acrylic and PVA paints sampled with frost resistant agents.
